SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions (“SMS Terms”) describe how Judy H. Nguyen, Attorney at Law (“Firm,” “we,” “us”) provides text message communications and your rights related to them. By opting in to receive SMS messages, you agree to these SMS Terms.

1. Program Description

By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from the Firm, which may include:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders;

  • Scheduling changes or cancellations;

  • Account or service notifications;

  • Normal course-of-business conversations between the Firm and you;

  • Confidential legal advice and/or limited documents, if you have separately signed a written consent form acknowledging the risks of SMS communications; and

  • Limited informational alerts related to our services

We will not send SMS messages containing confidential legal advice or documents, unless expressly authorized by you in writing. If you do not sign a written consent form, the Firm will not transmit confidential legal advice or documents by SMS.

2. Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on your interactions with us (for example, number of appointments or requests for updates).

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you opt out, you may receive one final confirmation message.

You must be 18 years or older and the authorized user of the mobile device number used to opt in.

8. Disclaimer

SMS communications are offered as a convenience only and do not replace secure communications. Receiving SMS messages does not establish or constitute an attorney-client relationship unless and until a written engagement agreement is executed between you and the Firm.

Unless you have signed a SMS Confidential Consent Addendum, the Firm will not send confidential legal advice or documents by text message.

Even with signed consent, SMS text messaging is not a secure form of communication, and risks of interception or unauthorized access remain.

We may update these SMS Terms at any time. Updates will be posted at https://www.jhn.esq/sms-terms. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

10. No Sharing of Mobile Information

We respect your privacy. We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your mobile phone number, opt-in data, or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Your mobile information will only be used to deliver the services and communications you have requested from the Firm.
